Weihnachtsausstellung 2011/12

It's time again for our big Christmas exhibition. From November 26th, 2011 to January 14th, 2012 we are showing seascapes, harbour paintings and captains' paintings under the title "Maritime painting from the 19th to the 21st century". Exhibition "Deserts of the World"

From 09/01 to 10/06/2011 we exhibit paintings of the desert painter → Carsten Westphal under the title "Deserts of the World" in our → gallery in Hamburg-Blankenese. As usual the exhibition is open during our → shop-hours. Numerous paintings of Carsten Westphal can also be found in our → online gallery.

art maritim 2011

From 10/29 to 11/06/2011 Harmstorf's Gallery will be present at the → "art maritm" like every year. As a special highlight this year we will be presenting the collection of a Hamburg merchant with numerous captains' paintings and other maritime motives. You can find us again on the ground floor of hall B4 at stand number 26.

Liquidation of a collection

At the moment we are liquidating the maritime paintings collection from the estate of a Hamburg merchant. It consists of numerous captains' paintings and other maritime motives that you can purchase separately or completely at our store exklusively. In the online gallery they can be found in the category → collection.

New paintings for the Hotel Atlantic

Harmstorf's Gallery provides all the 220 rooms of the Hotel Atlantic with new paintings. These are painted by our orders by the Hamburgian artists → Heinke Böhnert and → Carsten Westphal according to the floors' themes. Heinke Böhnert designs original maritime paintings for the three floors "Europe", "America" and "Asia", Carsten Westphal provides desert paintings for the floor "Africa". The first phase of construction including 131 rooms has been finished by now, the remaining tasks will presumably be finished by October. The exclusive bathrooms of the "new" Atlantic were decorated with pictures of Hamburgian photo artists by us, too.

exhibition at the "art maritim" 2010

From October 30th to November 7th 2010 Harmstorf's gallery is again present at the "art maritim" with it's own stand. This year we are going to show paintings by Johannes Holst, Eduard Adam, Patrick v. Kalckreuth and Alfred Jensen as well as other seascapes, harbour paintings and captains' paintings. Our stand is located on the ground floor of hall B4 and has no. 26 again this year.

Our factory on TV - UPDATED

On October 6th, 2009, the German regional TV station "NDR Fernsehen" showed a report about our factory during the broadcast "Schleswig-Holstein 18:00". If you missed it or live outside the coverage area you can watch a recording of the report in the "Mediathek" on the website of the "NDR". UPDATE: unfortunately the NDR already removed the report from their website.

Exhibition at the "Maritime Kunst" 2009 - UPDATED

In 2009, the exhibition "Maritime Kunst" takes place again during the "hanseboot" from October 24th to November 1st. At its stand, Harmstorf's gallery will show outstanding works of maritime painting from the 19th to the 21st century. Amongst others, paintings of Johannes Holst, Alfred Jensen, Heinrich Andreas Sophus Petersen and Patrick von Kalckreuth will be presented. UPDATE: You can find us again in hall B4 on the ground floor at stand no. 26.

Exhibition "New pictures from the desert"

From September 19th to October 17 th, 2009 we again show pictures of the painter → Carsten Westphal in an exhibition titled "New pictures from the desert". The exhibition takes place in our → gallery in Hamburg-Blankenese and is open during our → shop hours. Many paintings of Carsten Westphal can also be found in our → online gallery.

Exhibition: "50 years of maritime painting - harbour - ships - sea"

From june 6th to june 25th, 2009 we again exhibit works of the famous maritime painter → Fred Müller from Hamburg in our → gallery in Hamburg-Blankenese. The opening hours can be found → here. Furthermore, you can also look at many paintings of Fred Müller in our → online gallery.

Exhibition "From the desert to the Elbe"

Starting on Saturday February 7th, 2009 we will be showing an exhibition in the rooms of our → gallery in Hamburg-Blankenese titled "From the desert to the Elbe" with works by Carsten Westphal. On the opening day, the exhibition can be visited from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., afterwards during our → shop hours until February 28th. Carsten Westphal's paintings can also be found in our → online gallery.

Warning: phishing with our company name

Unfortunately we had to discover that a new phishing email using our company name is in circulation. In this email, a fictive artist named Michael Harmstorf, who claims to own a gallery in Hamburg, is searching for a business partner in the United States to conduct money transactions to Germany. These emails are not sent by us and are not connected to our company in any way. In case you received such an email, please do not answer it and delete it as it is an attempt to defraud.

Exhibition at the "Maritime Kunst" (formerly "art maritim") 2008

Harmstorf's gallery is of course again present at the "Maritime Kunst" in the year of 2008. From october 25th to november 2nd, 2008 you can find our exhibition in hall B4 on the ground floor at stand no. 26.

Again we will present a great variety from the world of maritime arts this year.

Exhibition "Inspiration in Acrylic"

From July 26th to August 30th 2008 we show works of the freelance Hamburgian artist Sylvia Goebel in an exhibition named "Inspiration in Acrylic". It takes place in the rooms of our → gallery in Hamburg-Blankenese. Furthermore you can of course also look at the paintings in our → online gallery.

Exhibition: "50 years of maritime painting - happy 75th birthday to Fred Müller"

On the occasion of the 75th birthday of the maritime painter → Fred Müller, Harmstorf's Gallery invites you to an exhibition. It will be opened in presence of the artist on june, 8th from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm and will be open until june 28th, 2008.
